:good:

hi,

i recently have 2 tanks running--
i'm planning to put plants on the old one
which is the rekord60 --
i found this "Aquarium gardening" site
that can supply me with nice plants..

i am hoping for an easy to care ones-
cause difficult maintenance could be a problem..
and if possible no co2 involve as well -

any suggestions please--
i'll post a photo of the tank
for your reference--

thanks----

*bump*

and is my gravel okay (roman jet black-8kgs)
or do ihave to mix API-Laterite to IT..??

thanks----

planted tanks are easy if you choose the right plants for the set up you have and the ammount of effort you want to put in
simple stem plants such as ludwiggia, hygrophillia, cabomba, as well as amazon swords, and cryptocoryene species will all thrive in basic set ups with little maintenance.
you wont get the quick growth and amazing carpeting effects that you get with the hightec planted tanks, but you can have a really nice looking tank,
and your substrate is fine..

Thanks Biglan!!

i am not familiar about the plants name yet--
but this site caught my eye and i ended up buying
a sort of a package deal-- with different varieties..

if you'll look closer the one i bought is the Plants
under the name: "Jungle" ans Annubias Nana on Driftwood

so i'll be waiting for them to arrive somewhere next week..
i hope their ids come with them with the delivery...

well if the plants shown in the picture are what you get then that should be a fairly good start.

what i found with planted tanks when i first started was, trial and error is one of the best ways, as planst are fairly cheap buy one you like the look of if it dies try something else.

thanks-- hope everything goes well with this one--
is it always neccessary to get the planting kit?
or is there any alternatives in the cheap side-- :hey:

cause this hobby is getting more expensive every day--

what planting kit???
if you mean the little tool set then no.
its a nice little luxury if you get into heavily planted tanks, a long set of tweezers may well come in handy for planting stems, but other than that everything is pretty much luxury,
