Going On Holiday

I'm going away to Newquay tomorrow for 8 days.

Will the fish be ok if I feed them tomorrow (friday) then my mum comes round monday, and again thursday to feed them, then I'm back saturday... they will be ok?

Also, would I leave the lights off for the whole 8 days I'm away? I've got the lights on a timer at the moment. No one will be here to look at them :lol:

... and it's not a planted yet.

The fish will be fine, leave the lights off, as long as there is some ambient light everything will be fine.

If you are really worried you could try one of those machine feeders or if you really want could try the pyramid release things

no dont use the holiday feeding blocks they will mess up your water big time.

if someone can pop over a couple of times and feed them they will be fine. it might be worth while getting your mum to watch you feed them so she knows how much to give them or put a daily amount of food in a couple of air tight container so she cant overfeed them :good:

That's a good idea! Just had an image of a whole tub of fish food being poured in for one feed in my head!

Haha! Yea she knows roughly how much to feed them, rather her under feed than over feed lol.

I wouldn't use a holiday block thing, heard so many bad things about those!

They will be fed 3 out of 8 days... Should be fine

I posed a simlar question yesturday and was advised they should be ok for 10 days without food so sounds like you have them covered.

Hope the weather is good for your Newquay trip!
