Going On Holiday Cycling Tank Please Help

My tank has been set up for five weeks. It is now at the stage where it is processing 2ppm Ammonia to 0ppm in 24 hours.

I am now dosing to 3ppm. However, I didnt expect it to take this long and am away from sunday to saturday next week. Shall I just dose the tank to 5ppm or higher to make sure there is enough bacteria to keep it fed?

What will happen? I think all the hard work I have been doing is going to get wasted if I go and all the ammonia is used up my bacteria is going to die

The tank will b fine for a week, will be a tiny set back if any to the cycle. IMO I would dose 4ppm just before you leave and the same when you return

Really Oh that sounds promising. I thought most of my bacteria would die off....

The bacteria will be a little hungry maybe a small amount of die off but I would expect the tank to be running a full steam ahead 2/3 days after your return. Enjoy your hols
