Hi! I'm new to the fish world. I have 3 chilid's; a Electric Yellow, Cherry Zebra and a Joanne (Blue). I have had them for 4 months and they are doing great. Right now they are in a small tank (15 gallons) but I plan on moving them into a 50 gallon tank in the next month. The problem I have is that is that I am going away for 5 days next month and I don't have anyone to come to feed them while I am away. What is the best way to make sure they are fed while I am away? I know you can buy pellets that release food, but I'm afraid that I will come home to find them dead. Can anyone give me any advice on how to make sure that they get the food they need while I am away? Like I said, I am new to the fish world and I have grown attached to them and would really hate to come home to find them sick or dead. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is something called automatic feeder. He will automatically feed the fish, u just put the time.

hey there. welcome to the forum. Ive read somewhere that if you give them one big feed before you go then they will be ok for 2 weeks. I dont know wether thats true or not. But like Paul said theres an electric feeder thing in shops. It flots on top of your water and you programme a time and at that time everyday it will relese some food. Sorry i couldent help more im new to fish keeping to :good: good luck

Hi dont use the blocks, they are full of chaulk and will dirty your water real quick!
You can use a timer as the others have said or as Rillan says they would be ok for 5 days with out being fed!

Hope that helps

A timer should be fine but test it for a few days before you go as some people have had bad experiences with them.
