I just got a yashia haze goby or whiteray shrimp goby - my question is a smiple one. After about an hour he dissapeared and i have not been able to see him since. I know there are lots of places for him to hide, so i wasnt too worried. Two days later i still have not seen him. How long should I wait before I go moving rocks to look for him?

so does no one have an idea how long to wait before looking in the rock work for a body?

have a look, i would chances are it might be dead. Does it not even show when u feed it.

most gobies take a few days to aclimate to the new surroundings. They are very skitish. Most likely it made a cave in the sand in the back of the tank somewhere and you are just not seeing it. I'd give it a week before you go searching as that will only further stress it out if it is hiding, and if it died waiting a while won't hurt anything.
