Just a bit of help please. I've had my Gibbiceps for four days now and it seems OK. One thing is a bit odd though. When it was in the shop, the colouring was quite distinct, very clear dark/light spots. Now it's been at "home" for a while, it seems to have darkened almost to the point where the spots blend into each other. Anything to worry about? Could it be the amount of light. I have my lights on for 10 hours a day between midday and 10:00 pm.

Hi fotoman! Just wanted to let you know, that there is nothing wrong with your plec. Gibby plecs change color to suit their environment. I have the same species and he's changed color three times since I've bought him. ;) If you want to see what I mean, you can go here and see some pics of him. He used to be light tan with very defined spots, but now he's dark, his colors are all blended together, and he's even got some red on him. ;)

exactly... just posted the same answer in a bristle nose thread - they are just trying to blend in :)
