I've bought some glosso plants (I think). Should I plant them as whole clupms or split them into smaller parts? I'd like them to form a carpet in one corner of the tank eventually (180l with 120W of light). Thanks.

You should split them into separate plantlets and plant they about 2cm apart from each other.

Use tweezers, its easier, takes hours and hours, you'll probably need all day.

Oh hell. I almost wish I hadn't asked! Thanks for your help. Looks like I'll be armpit deep in water all day tomorrow.

Dare I add that I've also got some Hemianthus callitrichoides (I think?). Please tell me this isn't the same process as the glosso? How about I kept the HC in the clumps they came in and spread out the glosso elsewhere? Would that work? Will the HC die if it isn't spread around? Thanks again!

Sorry dude HC needs the same treatment, get out the tweezers....

Done. The glosso looks very sparse. I hope I did it right. There were little rootlets on the horizontal runners already which made it easier. Fingers crossed. I just separated the HC into clumps. There was no way it would have stayed in the substrate otherwise (that's my excuse anyway). Time to add fish now. I'll try to get some piccies up soon. Thanks again for the help.
