Hi guys, im wondering what I can use to stain the glass on my tank? something that will not destroy it and easy to get off? and ideas?

If you just want it for say the back of the tank, I use normal emulsion, 2 or 3 coates to the outside of the tank works fine and you can scrape it off relatively easily if you get fed up of it.

I was thinking of using these glass paints, kids non toxic ones. Is this a bad idea? you can peel them off

The problem with those is they're not really high-quality paints. Even with a few coats, they still look opaque and kind of crappy. I babysit a girl down the street and she has those, but they always seem to end up looking gross. Plus, they're so easy to remove that even a little scratch will peel most of it off. Then you'd have to reapply it and such. :(

good point, thanks for that. What about maybey them sick on coloured film thingys? For some reason I dont fancy painting my tank. :/

What about Saran Wrap? You know, that stuff you use to cover foods and such? That may work. You can get it in different colors. I've never tried it, but it may work. :)
