Glass Drilling

Im getting my tank drilled soon but in the mean time im making the overflow my question is how far away from the inside edge of the tank should the hole be drilled its a 63mm hole in 10mm glass and its going to be drilled at the rear of the tank in the middle.

That's a big hole. You're drilling the bottom? If so, I'd probably err on the side of the edge of the hole being at least 2" from the silicone, maybe more.

All holes should be drilled 1.5 times there diameter from any edge.

having second thoughts now, my tank is 17" depth so the wier would stick out almost 6" .

Think i may be better going for two 1"or 1 1/4" durso's one in each corner and make another mock set up to see how it works.

Ski has seen this all ready but i thought i would share ( cheaper than getting it wrong )
