Hello all,
I was wondering if there were any glass diffusers that I could switch to, because I am getting really tired of having to clean the Nutrafin ladder every few days. It gets clogged with gunk and the only way to clean it properly is to take the whole thing out and scrub it. I've heard that glass diffusers are easier to clean and less obvious in a tank and would like to switch. I am running a 30gl system, with DIY CO2 with a Nutrafin system. What do you guys suggest for the new diffuser and where could I get it?

Thanks.

Im using a spiro-glass diffuser and its working great :> )Im using same sytem as u - ladder).

I have no idea how you would clean a glass diffuser (theres no way into it) but so far I havent had two, its in its second week now.

Just look up the spiro-glass diffuser and pic one that suits your tank, hope that helps!

I've been using an 'aqua mini diffuser' from aquaessentials.co.uk with my nutrafin kit, i've not have to clean it yet and it works a charm :good: . Though you'll want to go for a slightly bigger version for a 30gal.

Got two glass diffusers both on nutrafin DIY's. I have the same one as three fingers mentioned above on my nano tank although i managed to get mine shipped cheaper with a few other bits from Hong Kong (off eBay). Also have a larger diffuser on my 65 litre tank and the cannister dosent seem to build up enough pressure to get it to work so not to sure what to do at the moment with that one :)

Also seem to be getting better results with the glass diffuser and plants in my nano then ive ever had with the nutrafin ladder. Cant say if its down to just the co2 diffuser but i think its playing its own part. Worth changing over IMHO :)

I'm using a Spio III glass diffuser and it works great. I got fed up with the having to clean the ladder every week. I've had the glass diffuser for a few months now and I haven't had to clean it yet. If you do have to clean it, let it soak in a bleach and water solution for a few hours. I'm not sure how much bleach you would have to use, I'm sure someone else can would know.

Thanks for the link, but is there an online store located in the US? (I am in Florida)

I am using two units of the Nutrafin kit currently, I have been using it since 3 to 4 months ago without cleaning the ladder. My molly, flying fox and oto will help me to clean it.
