Glass Catfish Question

Hi,

I have a small shoal of 6 glass cats and I noticed something strange about them, and they are all of a very similar size.

I have 4 of them that have got quite fat over the time I have been sparingly feeding my fish due to hair algae (a pinch of flakes or catfish pellets once a day in the evenings), and the two that aren't fat look like any other glass cat but the 4 that have a swollen belly with identical orange sacks (best way I can describe it) seem to be swimming normally and no change in behaviour.

any ideas?

btw no pic as camera broke and they don't come close enough to show it on phone camera.

Sounds like they might be gravid females

I've had a quick google and it looks like they're very hard to breed; at least they happy and healthy though

Thats cool, must mean I have been doing something right, only had them a month or so. (and just finished catching approx 40 molly fry at the moment I saw your post)

Yes, I haven't had mine long; I've never had a tank I felt was suitable for them up until now!
