Glass Bulb Hydrometer

from what I've gathered a glass bulb hydro is actually better than a cheap refractometer?

If you calibrate the refractometer using 35ppt worth of salt, even the cheap ones are better and easier to use than a glass bulb hydro if you ask me. Also the hydrometers need more rinsing and caring for than refractometers.

many refractometers come with ATC (auto temperature compensation), it helps with the accuracy since different temps. change stuff. Im not sure about refractometers but i dont see how refractometers can have ATC...

Glass Bulb Hydrometers are used but scientist in the field but these are about 2 feet long and cost a bomb. I use one I bought from scientific apparatus supplier we use at work. It's 7" long and came with a measuring cylinder and was £58!

I have seen them in the LFS and if you where to ask they could order on in for you.

A Glass Bulb Hydrometers coupled with an accurate digital thermometer is what I use in all my water changes.
