Hi just on to introduce myself to you good people

not V computer literate so be gentle as i don't get to use the computer that often

i live in the glasgow area and have been keeping fish for a number of years, although my favourite fish are cichlids (malawi). had 3 tanks but reduced to 1 now
I currently have a set up for apisto's, cacatuoides and agassizii with a few tetras, silvertips and neons.

hope to be able to share experiences, knowledge and fish tips with people of the same interests

Im in Irvine but I used to live in Glasgow....good fish shops on the Paisley Road West, I still travel down to them.

yep i still use the shops in the PR dont know if i am breaking any rules by mentioning shop names so i wont but i tend to use the one at the far end just before the italian restaurant

Ive been to Coral Reef, Aquarium Design, Mr Dogfish and the wee one next tyo the District Pub where the owner looks hard as nails but I didnt realise there were more?

Dobbies in Ayr is sometimes good (the staff couldnt guess which way they were going in a lift with 3 guesses mind) and there is a shop in Prestwick I quite like.

there are a couple of more shops towards the paisley end
techniclly i guess they are not on the PR but it stretches all the way to paisley.

how often you get to hit the shops in glasgow?

We get into Glasgow pretty often as my wifes Parents stay in Ralston.

Ralston's not that far from me i'm in cardonald

not too keen on the other shops only use the reef, went up to ultimate aquatics the other week disapointed with the run of the mill fish but WOW DID THEY HAVE SOME LOVELY PLECS

not a bad we shop on the victoria road opened up a while back been to that a few times

im a newb at fish an di had just recently purchased a silver tip catfish and i had only had it for a week it seemed active and healthy but when i went to go check on my tank i noticed it was dead and i have been wondering sense how it happened. if you could make come up with some sort of answer or conclusion to why this happened that would be great
