A. How do they get in my fish? B. What do they do? C. What can I do to get rid of them D. Do they spread? E. Life-threatening?

Thanks guys.

I think you might have gotten these answers on your other thread, but to clear things up incase you still have questions,

A, They get in through adding new fish that had them, or through live food.

B, they live in a fish, feeding off of it internally. Much like worms you find in dogs, cats, horses, etc.

C, prevention is the best thing. ALWAYS quarantine new fish. Medicated food and seperating any fish that looks like it has parasites is all you can do.

D, yes they do spread when their host dies.

E, Yes, it usually kills the fish.

Yes! It's pink 'n' blue and reddish and brownish- the normal color considering what I feed 'em. :kana: :flex:

No parasites. And they look a bit better now that the mean danio causing stress is in the breeding trap.

Yay! No Parasites! Great news! :hyper: :D

Just keep watching them, and make sure they make steady progress towards fat little guys and gals. It may very well have been the Danios. They are so active, they can stress a lot of fish out. Sounds like they'll be gone from your tank soon though. :)

I hope it /is/ "soon enough" because I'm gonna need that breeder for my babies!
