Gill Problems With Male Betta

hi
latly i've been noticing that half of my betta's gill won't close all the way he seems normal he eats regularly and is active

is this a really bad sign or is it common should i use any meds if yes which ones

Does it look like something is blocking the way?

Has he looked like this for a while, or have you just noticed it differently now?

can you manage to look inside his gill? He may have gills flukes, which would look like a little worm inside his gill. Also does he tend to flare a lot. I've had a couple of bettas in the past who would flare so much that they would strain their gills and then they wouldn't close properly

well jaded fiirst of all i dont know how to get it so i can look inside the gills but he flares normally he doesnt flare too much

When he swims close by you look at his gills, gill flukes won't be too hard to spot
