fairly new fish only marine tank, fish started rubbing and gill fluke was diagnosed. Treated tank, but too late for most fish. At end of treatment carried out water changed, fish that survived showed no signs of gill fluke, introduced new fish, one dead already and other starting to show symptoms, have started treatment again. Is this normal for gill fluke to come back so quick, could the eggs have survivrd in the sand? Any help welcome.

How old is the tank and what are the water perameters?

What sise of tank is it and what type of fish do you have in the tank.

Lastly, what type of treatment have you used for the setup?

The tank has been going for about 4 months, no problems until a green chromis was added that died very quickly after showing signs of rapid breathing etc. When the other fish started acting strange tried different things such as water change and increased oxygen flow all to no avail. After losing most of the fish went for a gill fluke treatment that saved about 4 fish.

Water parameters are fine, the owner of the shop checked everything prior to initial stocking, again when the fish started dying and after the first set of treatment.

Treatment used Waterlife Sterazin.

Currently the fish are
4 banded clowns
2 chromis
1 cardinal

Used to be
2 wimples
2 Percula clowns
1 regal tang
1 cleaner wrasse
1 dragon wrasse
1 yellow tang
1 gobi
1 long-nosed butterflyfish
2 fire fish
2 blue damsels
1 foxface
