has anyone had any problems keeping ghost shrimp in with their betas?? i have some in my turtle tank to help keep things clean and id like to put a few in with the betas...any replies would be great...
thanks in advance

people have had both success and horrible failure, ither they ignore them or try and eat them, try getting ones that arent small enough for the betta to eat and small enough not to eat the betta.

Mine weren't. Male betta flared, chasing them constantly until he'd killed them both. I think it just depends on your betta's personality.

yep all depends on that particular fish, if you do get them and have problems have another tank ready or be ready to take them back to the store, some bettas just wont stand another anything in THEIR tank, others dont care whats near them.

My Betta attacked and killed a ghost shrimp within hours of it being in the tank. He grabbed it, shook it like a dog and then let it go. The ghost shrimp died instantly. I had 3 others in there with him that I got out ASAP. I thought he would be ok but nope.

there was a spider on the outside of one of my bettas tank, it was so funny he flared at it and threatenened it until I moved it. As :good: others say depends on the fish

i would be careful, ghost shrimp might hurt the bettas, i know the craw fish will.
