Ghost shrimp thinks he's a fish!

My ghost shrimp - the sole survivor of 5 I had -- has grown larger than my platies and swims all over the tank now. When I'm getting ready to feed them, he comes up front and waits, then swims up to the top to get the food! It's so funny!

Shrimp are actually intelligent creatures. I guess it goes with being survivors. They're very interesting creatures if ya ask me.

I love them, they have cute little personalities.

I agree. They are very personable. I have one I call "Big Momma", (she is loaded with eggs). I love to watch her swim. She just shoots from one spot to the other most of the time but once in a while she swims to the top of the tank and it looks like she has a million legs all going at the same time.

I don't know why, but whenever I see him do that, it reminds me of that scene in the Wizard of Oz where the witch is riding her bicycle in the sky. They are fun to watch.

i have one that flips upside down and grabs food off the surface of the water. he swims around chewing little bits off of it
