GH KH???

I know what Ph means, but what is GH and KH

GH stands for general hardness and is the hardness that we speak of when we say that the water is hard or soft. KH is carbonate hardness which is the ability of your water to resist changes in PH, also refered to as alkalinity. If KH is high it will be very hard to cjange your PH by any means, if low it will be very easy to change your PH. HTH
