Getting Worried Now :0(

My new Betta was marked as dispatched on Monday but the Royal mail van has just been and he was not on it
I've just been down to the sorting office to be told they won't even check for him as if he was there he would have been on the van and not they won't take my number and ring me if he arrives there!
I know he would have been in transit a lot longer when he was imported but you sort of expect a better service when the #41#### thing is only travelling across a single country!

There endeth the rant!

Oh and just to add he's probably in the same place as the snails that were posted to me last week by a forum member....they're gonna smell lovely if they ever get here!

Oh no. Was he sent next day delivery? Who did you buy from? I've had two lots of mail delivered before. Parcels in the morning then again later.

Do you have a tracking number you can check online?

I bought him on ebay [there's a link in a previous post called Meet Foo] and am not blaming the seller, other fish sold on that day seem to have arrived safely!

I knows they only do one van delivery to my road but I was hoping that they would take my number in case he arrived form the bigger sorting office nearby, I explained that the package was 'alive' but they are just not interested! Have not been able to contact the seller to see if there is a tracking number. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh!

There should be a tracking number that you can check. Email them and say you want it now or you'll have to open a dispute.

Theres still time Lisa, Rox sends hers to arrive before 1pm, my latest lot arrived at 2pm a whole day late! luckily all 7 were fine

Just checked and a lot of people here have bought from that seller before with no problems. The one you bought is one I was considering, he's stunning. He's been in the post a long time now if the seller did post monday. I'd email them again and just say you'd like the tracking number so you can check online.

Hi, I paid £5.99 .....my bad I now wish I had paid the £12 premium delivery option! Thing is my other love is Puffers and I but a fair few fish on line and they always seem to turn up the day after dispatch. I just hope this isn't a lesson learned the hard way, I'm in tears here.

£5.99 is second class recorded isn't it? Moral to the story, when buying 'alive' things always pay premium next day. Hope everything turns out OK.

have you tried ringing royal mails head office and ask to speak to a manager, sometimes they will sort it.

Oh I really do hope so...in case any of you have checked my profile I am a 41 year old woman and really shouldn't be crying over a fish I have yet to meet I've already told my son [19] that he is opening the package when it arrives as I can't bare it....how sad am I!!!

No £5.99 was for Standard Delivery (Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded) and is what I have always used before.

i got my partner to open mine after 2 days but they were all fine and dandy just rather pale, soon coloured up though, sure Foo will be fine


Hoping that no reply is him finally arrived

Still nothing....I have the tracking number but all that shows is that he is in the system! I have rung the local sorting office over 150 times and it is constantly engaged. I'm now going to go there at 1.15, just before it closes in the hope that he will have come in from the larger sorting office in the next town....at a loss really! I have to start work after that so not much more I can do!

Sorry he hasn't arrived yet Lisa, to be honest i think going to the post office is a waste of time, last time i had this problem i was told they can't track them from there! Hope he turns up soon
