Getting To Grips With Kh And Gh

is there a post or wb guidance on KH and GH. i'm finding it difficult to understand. i have taken my first reading and if i have done the tests correctly have readings as follows

KH 53.7 ppm

GH 89.5 ppm

PH 7.4

what does this mean in a tank with plenty of plants (brownish) - 175 litres - basic east co2 started last week.

I don't know much about gh, I don't really worry about it as I'm not concerned with breeding.

How ever your ph and kh have a relationship with co2. Tells you what your Co2 levels are.
