Getting Ready For My 1st Betta

I got this Eclipse 6 gallon from a friend of a friend's store. I got a great deal because it's used and was sitting empty for a few months. Now it's cycling on the window sill in my office room at home. It's the perfect size and I can't wait for my first betta!

Awww nice looking tank. Best of luck when you get him. Any type you're after are just gonna go local and see who you fall for?

P.S:Most ppl don't cycle tanks that small or betta tanks in general as they tend to be small. The water params can be irritating to keep level at the best of times as it's hard to get a good balance with the bacteria in the filter in tank that size. Thankfully bettas can cope with more ammonia, nitrite and nitrate then most fish, not that I'd suggest you never clean them or keep their water fresh!!

Well, I think I need a little time before I get him so a month cycling would be perfect timing. Also, I'm going to check out my LFSs and see what bettas they have. I hope I don't fall in love with all of them.

Ah well that's cool then. Cycle away! I've found bettas to be....addictive. ) Including my girls I have 13 right now with 3 boys and a girl on the way when the weather warms up. And I can't see me stopping there either.
