If you have not gotten the tank and filtration yet, please keep an open mind about a couple of points. 55 gallon tanks are VERY hard to aquascape in general, they are so narrow and it becomes a balancing act when stacking rock, I would really recommend going with a 75 or a 90 gallon, I honestly think that you will be much happier. If you went with a 75 or a 90 gallon you will have the same length tank, with more surface area to work with.
Are you thinking of going with a fish only? If so then your filtration might be almost adequite. If you are going to go into this as a reef tank (or even the possibility that it may some day be converted to a reef tank) then I would recommend not going with any type of biowheel, Hang on back, freshwater only filtration. Get a good skimmer, use good flow, and you will be starting out on the right foot. If you listed your stocking intentions, direction you would like to go with the tank, and even a ball park price tag limit, I am sure that we could make suggestions that will fit your specific need.![]()
