Getting Closer 120g

hi there im getting closer wif new 120g tank was just doing some reasearch while i waitin could any1 point me in the right direction on info on co2 and is it essential if i want a planted tank?

not esentual unless you have more than 1 watt per gallon, so if you have more than 120 watts of light then CO2 is recomender, i have less than 1 watt per gallon and i use CO2 because i love the growth it helps make.
