Wow, a 125 gallon tank, awesome, your so lucky. Discus and schooling fish sounds nice. I think you would be able to have 4 Discus in there, maybe more. As for schooling fish, fully grown Cardinals always look nice with Discus, young ones would be eaten. Congo tetras would be nice too, they are one of the larger Tetras ( they get to about 3 inches). Also, you'll need something to clean up any uneaten food and algae so maybe some Otos and Corydoras are in order. As for the Fire Eel, I wouldnt think it would be such a good decision because as they get bigger they get more aggressive and your Tetras would definetley be at risk. Plus I don't think he would fit in with the whole beautiful Discus and Tetra look. Are you planning on planting it becaue that would be awesome. I find Takashi Amano's tanks incredible, you could aim for that kind of look.

Im going to deffinitly plant it. witha tank that big im doing all i can do. ya know? Also could angels live with discuss? and are they aggressive?

Yes i know hehe.
Angels would be fine with Discus, all i can say is that the Angels will always beat your Discus to getting the food so make sure the Discus get their share of food.

im so excited! i cant wait. angels and dicuss are my 2 favorite fish and im gonna have them both. its gonna be cool.

for the same price the same guy will give me a tank with 72" x 18" x 25"
dimencions and the other one i was getting was 48" x 24" x 25" which is the better deal. they are both $250 dollars. so which should i choose? thanks for help.

What you are looking at are a 571 L tank : 150 Gallon
Or a 456L tank: 120 Gallon.

Now depending on dimensions: if they are both 25 Inches high, then there is no issue on depth(Large angels and discus love that depth), If You have the space, and both are the same height, then there is little question to go for the larger tank. It will be even more stable, hold more fish: however will require more effort to maintain. The maintenance would still be large on the 120 gallon, and the difference is in my opinion only slight.

Either way you are gonna get a great tank, and im truly envious of you.

The better deal is the 72"(6 footer) if you are willing to maintain and have the space. The 48"(4 footer) is also a good choice if you choose that.

Hope that helps.

Btw im  with envy.
