Hey everyone! Haven't been on the forums in quite some time.
Anyways I was thinking of setting up a 10 or maybe 20 gallon. I was thinking of getting a dwarf gourami, or perhaps a pair of rams if I get a 20g and have soft enough water.

Anyways, would anything else be able to fit in the 10g with a dwarf gourami? Pygmy corydoras perhaps? And if so, would they uproot my plants?

20 gallon! More choice in fish :)

Corys won't uproot plants if you have a deep enough sand bed. I would think of the following stock in a 10 gallon:
* 1 gourami
* 6 ember tetras or espei rasboras
* 6 dwarf Corys

..or in a 20 gallon:
* 1 gourami
* 12 ember tetras or espei rasboras
* 8 dwarf gourami

Hmmmm. would a pair of blue rams fit into a 10g? Or is that not enough room?

Most definitely not! Personally, I would want at least a 3 ft tank for them.. but I am sure some people do keep them in 2 ft tanks.
