Gestation period interuptus

So my replacement female Blue Grass Guppy arrives yesterday and I had an oops in the unbagging procedure, the bag drops like a rock to the bottom of the tank, she comes out and darts around like crazy for 10 minutes or so, then finds a corner under the artificial grass and proceeds to give birth to tiny younguns that I assume are premies. The other female had babies the day before. (There's also the babies over a week old from the one that died and needed replacing)

Now that everyone has made it thru the night, does the 28 day clock start for her as of yesterday or does it delay until where it would have been if she hadn't been stressed and delivered early?

It would be nice to know the two females should be delivering really close together in the future so I can be ready for micro feeding.

Odds are, she dropped the lot, so it's a restart if she wasn't damaged by it.

By restart you mean start the 28 day clock at 1 I assume.

I can't be certain but I suspect she had more. I have this overall sense of more tiny bodies all over the place and at the same time she suddenly seems so flattened in the stomach region I would think she was malnourished if I didn't know better. I'm a bit worried but she's still out and about like the others, just a tad pathetic looking and maybe less energetic. I'm still feeding 5 to 8 times a day so she'll have many chances to get some weight back on. I have a feeling her children are a bit stupid. Extra micro tiny yet they're out all over the place instead of hiding. I purchased some Giant Duckweed arriving tomorrow and a small herd has already taken up residence right under the floating square since I'm assuming they like the lack of surface movement there.

So much for that. She was gone and getting snacked on by snails this morning. Looks like it's time to go shopping for 2 or 3 more females this weekend. trying to time the shipping so something goes out Monday morning. That's 3 out of 4 female Blue Grass lost in shipping or in less than a week. One dead in the bag, one dead over night, now this one makes it 5 days. At least I got babies from two of the 3.
