My own place!!! Niagara Falls, Ont.
They've made a small pit in the sand, in the back corner of my tank. I checked earlier and there was nothing, but I just checked again and voila! Eggs! They're fanning them now.

Now here's my question. They're in my community tank with neons and panda cories. What are the chances of any fry surviving? I'm not sure if I'd exactly be prepared to handle a growout tank at the moment, but if a small portion of the fry have a chance of surviving, I can borrow a 5 gallon from a friend of mine as a temporary home til I can find something better.

I'm excited! :hyper:

can you get a devider to stop the neons and corys getting to the eggs? if so do that and the parents will raise them and just feed them crushed flakes and BBS(baby brine shrimp  )

I'd divide it, but the dividers at my LFS are for tens or twenties only, and I can't cut them down.. it's some weird material they used. The only other way I know is plastic craft canvas, and there's no way I can tear down the tank for the silicone to dry for 24 hours..

I was thinking of getting them a 10g to spawn in after reading week, cos then I'll have the cash to do it and I'll have cleaned up my room to make space for a new tank. Now it's just a matter of explaining to my mom why I have another tank laying around. She'll love that!

:D Hi littlefishie My name is Curtis Johnson I live in Alvarado Texas and my rams Spawned 9:24pm on the 8th and are hatching as I write This about a day earlyer than expected I had to remove the eggsbecause my water is so hard and has a high ph that the first two spawns failed thought maybe my male was steril since some rams which come from far east are pumped up with hormones to increse color it sterilizes them but that wasn't the problem knock on wood high PH makes it hard for the eggs to get fertilized and breath so i used a method i found on the net and it working so far got a rock full of wigglers used RO water in a 1qt jar with air and hydrogen peroxide got it at aquatic hobbyist.com now like you got to get a new tank or transfer some fish to other tank  ay way thought I'd send you a post about it Good Luck Sincerly Curtis :flex:
