I currently have: 4 Guppy, 5 Neon, 2 Panda cory (2cm each), 1 L134 plec.. Tank is approx 25 gal.

My original plan was to wait until the guppys recent spawn had fully grown and then give them to a friend of mine, in order for me to get a pair of german blue rams (male and female).

At the moment the fry are about a month old and doing well, they're being housed in a seperate tank at the moment. However, As i'm obtaining the rams via mail order, im not sure whether it would be better to order them now before the weather gets colder, or whether i should still wait, im not convinced?

I've completely re-aquascaped my tank today, i've added more plants and bogwood as well as rocks etc, to accomodate the rams, would i be overstocking if i bought them now? or shall i wait until jan-feb? when the guppys are gone... It sounds silly, but were expecting a bad winter this year and wouldnt want anything to happen to the rams in transit, as i know they're a fragile species.

Any advice would be appreciated

Anyone? I've done plenty reading and i just wanted an opinion from someone with more experience.

I guess i'll just get them now, to be on the safe side :dunno:

I think you have enough room for for a pair of rams. Thats just from my experience.

If i order now, i'd get next day delivery so thats okay.

Thanks for the advice, all i needed was to hear it'd work :)

Just a heads up keep an eye on their interaction with the corys. My rams liked to beat up on my panda corys.
