im getting a new tank for x-mas, i was thinking of livebearers for the tank but then i thought rams,they sound good.ive done a bit of reasearch but different people say different things so i was just wondering what there are like.what they prefer,eg:tank size,food,plants,rocks,sand or gravel etc.if any body has kept them or does keep them i would rearly appriciate your advice and opinions,any help would be great thx. 
EDIT:another question is what fish go rearly well with them? i was thinking kuli loaches or corys as a bottem feeder and a school of tetras,but i dont rearly know.
