German Blue Ram

i recieved my monthly catalog and this is the first time they've had german blue rams in it.they have them as growing to 10 inches,requiring a 50 gal tank,a hardy fish and as being semi aggressive.this is totally different than any thing i've read about them or my own knowledge about them.

Completely wrong. 2 1/2 - 3 " max, soft water dwarf cichlid. 20g min for pair, may get away with 1 in less. Delicate and sensitive fish requiring excellent water quality and low Nitrate level, temp 28 deg (lit usually says 26-28, but better at warmer temps). Semi aggressive is the one thing they did get right.

Did they list latin name Mikrogeophagus ramirezi. Sounds like the description is of some kind of geophagus.

sorry it took me so long to reply.no, it did not have it's latin name and the pic didn't even look like a german ram.i have a pair that are a year and half old and the pic looked nothing like them.

Sounds very weird that. Does the picture look like a geophagus??

May be worth contacting them, pointing out the mistake.
