Hi All,

I have had my male german blue ram for almost one month. two days ago I introduced a female german blue ram. Since then my male has beeen acting very strange, everytime the female GBR aproaches him, he faces his back to her and turns almost vertical with his head facing down and does a funny shake.

Is this mating behaviour or is it more a terrotorial thing?

Would appreciate any advice.

thanks in advance

Sounds to me like mating behavior.

is this normal for gbrs? its been going on for two days now. iv had gbr's breed before but not ever seen this. and I havnt seen them clean any area. is the male just trying to attract the female?

here are a few pictures, excuse the quality as if i try to get close to the tank my severums and angels want to get in the way as they think its feeding the time LOL, the greedy little buggers!

BUMP

TBH the male seems rather stressed by it all now and just acting all strange in one corner. the female will just watch him and she has been going over and flicking on the sand around him only. I hope she hasnt got some sort of parasites. Ive only had her two days and i did not quarantine!
