hey guys, i have a 70g tank currently housing 6 green tiger barbs, 5 bloodfin tetras, a red tailed shark, and a small plec (not sure what kind, but it is a light gray with black spots). i was thinking about getting 4-6 german blue rams, but before i did i wanted to know if they would be harassed, or would harass any of the current inhabitants.

thanks for any help :)

I've never housed any of those fish with rams other than a bn bleco. I don't like keeping more than a pair of rams in community or partial community tanks though. Although mine never seem to do physical damage to other fish, all my rams constantly chase and ram into other fish. Given that your tank is large there is enough room for the fish to hide and get away from them but I personally would not put more than 2 or 3 in there. The only fish I have housed with rams that didnt get picked on were angels and plecos. Due to a tank leak we had a ram in with some giant dannios. It was quite fun watching a tiny ram charging head first into a huge 4" dannio. Of course the ram normally missed which was the most fun part.

I have one german blue ram in with tiger and green tiger barbs, a red tail shark, a pleco, congo tetras, gouramis, yoyo's, and a kribensis cichlid with no problems. He is still young, so that could change, but that is my experience with my ram so far. I also plan on getting a mate for both him and my kribensis soon.
