George needs your help!

I'm sure you all remember my gorgous blue betta .. well George needs your help , I have placed him in the Fish ER (seperate container from Tank) and near my desk, he has a rather large belly (I have pictures)

Can someone help me and my beautiful boy out??

Sorry to say that my source of information on diseases doesn't give any treatments for it.

Wont stress coat or like.. Melaflix (green tea stuff?) help??

He had an ulcer like.. awhile back and the shop dude suggested this stuff that smelt like green tea

Well, the picture in my book has a fish slit down the middle and it was bursting with grayish worms.

I don't think it would be worth it to treat the fish and euthanasia would be the only course.

However, someone might come up with another, more curable disorder.

I hope I'm wrong about my guess, though.

Ohhhh no poor george!! .. I hope he doesn't have worms


Well tomorrow i'm gonna go to the pet store and get like some stresscoat and some green tea treatment for him, i'm thinking thats what it is, being I ran out of both about two months ago

If you are going to treat with MelaFix combined it with PimaFix. The manufacturer and others recommend usage this way and it could help more.

really sorry to hear about George, he is beautiful. I am a real newbie and don't know much myself but have you checked out the 'A-Z of diseases' or the 'Typical symptoms of disease' posted at the beginning of the Tropical Fish Emergencies section, I found them really useful.

Thanks.. I just dont know what to do, I have also noticed that his fins are a bit torn, and I know the reason for that one, I have plastic plants in there .. I feel so guilty, my po baby I just noticed as well that on his back towards his top fine, his color in his scales is faded.. to a near black, he was all blue.. I hope to get the melaflix and the stress coat stuff soon.. anybody else got any suggestions..


I also notice that he tends to lean on one side a bit.. i'm afraid to feed him anything at this point..

Does this mean he is going to die?? .. I removed the rocks from his Intensive Care Unit, because he seems to be rubbing up against them or something.. I also noticed that he has a hole on the bottom where his poop might come out?? .. i'll try and get picture..
