General Fish Questions

So I just have a few questions so I'll just go:

Do ghost shrimp do anything besides looking cool and costing under 40 cents lol?

Was thinking of getting some rummy nose tetras along with my other tetras, angels, and catfish. Any tips on how many I need to buy (in schools or not) and anything else important regarding these fish? I have a 24 gallon btw.

My ghost shrimp are semi-hardy. From what i've read, i would hold off on the ghost shrimp until you have a fully cycled tank for sure. This is mostly because they dont respond well to ammonia.
As for what they do, mine eat small to large food flakes that my other fish might miss, and they like to steal my algae wafers from my ottos. They dont need to be in schools, most of mine hide in different spots all day.

i dont know what fish you currently have but if you have a real natural looking aquarium then the ghost shrimp really add to that aspect, and they take up very little bioload so you can usually add quite a few of em. any aggressive or even semi aggressive fish will just eat em up though unfortunately.

alright thanks guys. My tank is established and cycled. I guess I'll hold off on the shrimp for now, my angels will probably eat them.

In my 24 gallon

I have 2 angels
2 buenos aires tetras
2 glowlights
3 black neons
1 rubber lip leco
2 green emeral corys
1 black skirt tetra
1 clown loach

Live plants and driftwood as well

Was thinking of giving away some of the smaller tetras to buy some rummy noses and bleeding hearts. Any tips on those?
