gavid spot

i'm trying to work out if one or 2 of my platies is pregnant or whether i've overfed them or if they're ill. one of them's massive and square shaped.


what am i looking for with a gavid spot? I can see 2 dark patches right on top of the fat belly but other than that it just looks fat.

What color are your platies? I have the deep orange (with black tale) ones that don't show any gravid spots and the other one which is light yellow - almost transparent. This on obviously shows gravis spot easily...

they're entirely orange. i spoke to a different fish place today who says she probably is and said where the spot would be but i cant see it. all i can def say is she's a lot fatter and you can see her belly has gone dark and a sort os silver colour. compare that to my other 2 (I have 3 orange platies) and there's gotta be something. one's slightly fatter than the male i have so maybe both are pregnant?
