i cannot, for the life of me get a photo of this cory. he is bronze coloured with a greenish tinged stripe on the sides of him. he is a balloon, MUCH bigger and rounder then any cory i have ever seen in my life! he had come as a pair of traumatized corys along with this old tank i had recieved. he has a nasty gash on his side, and he is missing his right eye, if not at least half of it. I do know which fish caused this, and this fish has been taken to the LFS.
now, how am i to treat this guy? i would think to put him in the hospital tank, BUT that tank is occupied by 4 ich infested clowns. the missing eye does NOT bother him, he just stays close to the other cories. any tips, suggestions would be very helpful. thankyou in advance.

:/ sorry I have no ideas..If i were u i would monitor the guy for awile and try and figure out who did that 2 him so it doesent happen to another fish. Good luck with the fish

From ur description, I'd say he's a brochis...they look like big cories. ;)
For the gash, u could try Melafix...helps to close n repair wounds.
Or, he may just heal on his own. Keep an eye out for secondary infections, tho...

Hope your little guy pulls through, i have a bronze cory and she is huge very fat and dumpy looking but i  to bits, just recently from dashing around the tank coz a baby platy bite her tail!!!!!.........lol she got burnt on the heater!!!! and ended up with a scalding mark on her back!!!

Melafix is a good option as well as trying to the water quality good as cories are very senstive to changes in it.

Hi Whisper Odinsky :)

I checked back here hoping to learn how your poor fish was doing. I hope your not posting does not mean the news is bad.

Did you have any water quality problems? Reddened gills can be a sign of ammonia or nitrite poisoning (usually the latter).
