Garden Water Barral To Be Fish Tank

Hi Corin!

It should work, can you keep my two large plecs while your at it!

Thanks

Mike

Why dont you try purchasing one of those pond vats or
preformed ponds? Aim for something about 200G/1000l.

In the summer the conservatory could go upto 45C unless you
have air-conditioning.

Thanks,
Mike

Yes, but do you know how much each barrel Contains?
You could try cutting the barrels and connecting them together.

Sams right, those barrels wont provide much swimming space, and they don't hold enough. Go for the preformed pond idea :good: .

how big are the bins?

doesnt sound like it will have much area for the fish to swim in and you still need to be looking at atleast 180 gallons to house common plecs.

I'm pretty sure a 90 gallon would be fine, as long as the tank has a 48"x18" footprint.

I would go for more of a mini pond for the plecs.

Yo Mike...

I think the barral( s ), ( or even small tropical ponds ), should be big enough to house your Plecs as well... I don't actually know... I might need two barrals... or three... or four... you never know...
:hyper:

so did u not notice us saying they probably wouldnt work?

us??? lol

yes, us.

in mr lawsons second post he suggests something else as the barrel isnt a great idea.

one of the main reasons hex tanks arent liked is because they have a crappy surface are and no swimming room.
