Garden Compost

can i use 1/2 inch of garden compost under 2 inches of gravel??
can i or cant i?
if so would it help my plants?

some folks use dirt so i guess itd be ok. and it will certainly help the plants. all those organics in compost are good stuff for plants.

You can use it with no problems but you would have to have no fish in there for a while because it will be full of Urea/Ammonia and that will have to leech out/cycle and plenty of water changes.
