Gammy Swollen Eye'd Rainbow Fish

HELP, what is this and how do I treat it.

Hard to say by the picture but could possibly be Popeye.

doesn't appear to be, the eye doesn't protrude anywhere near that far, its not the eye either that's swollen it looks like the area behind.
could it be something else or is it definitely popeye?
I'll try and get a better picture tomorrow.

i had an issue with one of my platy's, one side of his face/eye was swollen all the scales were sticking out, he eventually had to be killed because he was not happy! floating upside down etc. i'm still not sure what that was tho. sorry i know this doesn thelp ehehe.

im guessing you mean euthinised not killed as in murderd cruley

okay from the picture it doesnt look like popeye. what are the tanks inhabitance, could it of got knocked of hurt to the extent of the eye protruding from the socket. is he acting normaly, can you tell if he can use the eye (can he still move it).
