Gallons Us Or Uk?

Generally if it's in reference to the 1" per gallon rule, US is the version that relates to. I have a habit of offering all 3 measurements, lol... US gallons, UK gallons and litres.

US gallons when I just use G(allons). UK gallons only when I make a point of mentioning it's UK G(allons)

it's because wpg and " per gallon are used frequently and relate to us gallons, i figure it's best to use that.... also i don't know what the tanks are in uk gallons

Smaller.. hehehe.. i reckon the person that decided to use US gallons was very strict about the 1 inch per gallon rule and wanted that extra neon tetra for their tank.. :good:

I always use imperial gallons (what many people eroneously refer to as UK gallons) but tend to refer to tank sizes by dimensions as the dimensions have a huge impact on the stocking.

I never refer to inches per gallons or watts per gallon so have no problems there.
