Galan Not Eating Anymore

I have been preparing Galan for spawning for some time now; prepared the fry tank, drank lots of cold cappucinos (for the take away cups), and got him his girlfriend. Now since 2 days he is no longer eating! I have tried everything; his favourite bloodworms (not live though), his spirulina etc. He keeps building bubblenests though.....

What should I do? I do not want to show him the female under these circunstances, because I am afraid he gets that excited, he will forget about eating altogether! Plus, I don't want to start spawning him with an empty stomach.

What can I do??

Not sure but I have had mine do that. I would just watch him very carefully, maybe do another water change. Sometimes when I notice one of mine (esp Blueberry) not acting right, I give him a quick water change and he goes back to normal (not sure why that is b/c sometimes I had JUST give him one, but I do it anyways). He typically builds me a nice little bubble nest as if to say "thanks mom!" lol

You don't notice any patches or discoloration do you? Is he swimming normal, sluggish, slanted at all? Does he have any patches or growths on him? You could try a pea. Have you dont that before? Mine LOVE them and it's great for digestion in case he's constipated or something. It won't hurt. Just take a frowen pean and cook it in the microwave for 15 seconds or less, just enough to where it is room temp. Take the shell orr and cut it into bite sized pieces of smush it up.

You can also try not feeding him for a day or 2. it won't hurt him and all and it's good to fast him once a week or so. He may just be deciding to be picky out of nowhere. They like to worry us sometimes

I did do a waterchange already, and added some methylene blue to ease stress. He is less active than normal, but no discolouration, patches, growth or anything on his body. I'll be trying the vegetable tomorrow!
