Fuzzy spot on Gourami

Bought two gouramis. The female was hard to catch. Think she got hit with the net. She had a white spot develop on her side. Now the white patch is fuzzy looking. What can I do to save her

Sounds like it might be cotton-wool disease or fish fungus both of these can be treated with a phenoxyethanol based med.

Can you please post your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, tank size, and all tank mates?

Was there an open sore where she got hit with the net? Is that where the fungus seems to be growing now?
