Yours is not the tall. Looking at AllGlass's website (the brand most glass tanks are, in the U.S at least), they don't call it a long, but it's the better of the two made:

I'm not sure if I would do 6, I might go for 3 or 4. These fish are going to swim around alot more than neons or cards will. They will be constantly be darting all around your tank. As cutcotton said, they are quite the little piggies. When your feeding flake, you don't want to drop the food on the surface. I don't think I ever seen my kribs come to the surface to feed. You will want to dunk it in the water, preferably letting the currant from your filter (assuming you are going with a hang- on- back filter) carry it down to the bottom of the tank. When I feed them frozen or live bloodworms, I use a turkey baster or my large medicine dropper I bought at a Pharmacy.

:)

I am tempted - I was debating whether to go with a pair of kribs or german blue rams. I believe kribs are better parents and show more interesting behaviors. Also they are supposed to be more hardy. Perhaps I might try out a pair of kribs and couple of cardinals as some have suggested already.

Of course, this is after when my current mbuna tank is done, then the shellies tank then this one... ;)

thanks cc. also i got anotha question lol aaagh  what is a suitable temperature for the tank? i dont think ive read it anywhere.
my male krib in my community tank always goes to the surface to eat flakes or bloodworms, he is pretty naughty and likes to annoy the :D gouramis

Around 75-80 degrees will be fine for them.

Another fish I have had success keeping with kribs are penguin tetras. These tend to swim in the top section of the tank, but also don't swim around all the time, so might be less of a headache. The kribs pretty much leave them alone as they never go near the bottom. If they are chased they are more than quick enough to get away too, and they are a nice schooling fish with a relatively low bio-load.

Just a bit of additional info. If the 15g is a tall, not long, I don't know if that's enough room? I had my first pair in a 20g tall (2" Wide) and they did fine. But any smaller then that???? Don't know if I'd go there. These fish are dwarfs, but the males can get quite large....over 4". And they need territory to protect.

Also, the dither fish are more then likely going to get ahold of a few of the fry. That's just nature. I watched the Neons eat a few of mine  But, for the most part, Mom & Dad will take care of them. :)

i just thought id add that when i kept a larger male with a smaller female, he bullied her bad and never bred... but when i bought a larger female, they were ok.. i didnt use dither fish when mine bred, it took them 2 spawns of eating fry and babies before they got it right the 3rd time.. but now they all live happily ever after

OK i got 2 questions :D for you krib experts.

Do kribs really need dither fish?

and

Will my Bristlenose be safe providing there are lots of places to hide?

Thanks

I've honestly never kept then WITHOUT dither fish, so ??? From my observations and talking with other breeders, they WILL turn on each other if not given something else to take their aggressions out on. It's up to you if you want to give it a go....never know, may work out just fine? :)

As far as the BN....again, it's up to you. I had a Rubberlipped Plec killed and the fins chewed off a small common Plec (he healed) in my first tank (20g). However, the pair I have now is living peacefully with 2 Albino BN's and 4 Cories (40g)? It REALLY depends on the temperment of the fish? Sorry, I know it's not helping much, but personality TRUELY plays a big role

All I can suggest is give it a try, but be ready to make changes ;)
