Furry Bogwood

My fluval 1000 been running for around two months now, the bogwood is covered in white 'Fuzz', in the crevasis, should I take it out and scrub it ?.

I've seen this before in a neighbours tank, what exactly is it?

Not sure, looks like fungus but is harmless (as far as I know/have experienced).

I have 6 piecesof bogwood in my tank, and within a couple of months they all had furry stuff on them.
I bought a couple of apple snails, they munched the lot - I never had furry stuff again.

Yeah, think ill just leave it, as long it as it dosen't evolve into a new lifeform...

Ive got clown loaches though wont they eat the buggers....

I've had this stuff pop up on some of my bogwood. I've removed the wood and cleaned it off and it usually doesn't come back. It seems harmless.

It may be fungus from bits of food that fall into the cracks. Usually harmless, but could be a sign you are overfeeding your fish.

My otos and corys eat it all off, and my apple snail just wipes it all off with its body when it goes over it.
