I dont know if any of u will find this funny but as some people know i have a castle in my tank n my fish love it they all constently swim through it. well in one of the turets there is a hole that some of my fish like so swim out of and one of my rosy babrs tryed to swim out of it and got stuck half way :X lol dont worrie he is not hurt i helped him out i watched him do it so i kno he wasnt stuck long at all. LOL i bet he will never do that again

I had a small skull in my tank and one day I found my female swordtail stuck in one if its eyes. Apparently she was trying to swim out. Unfortunately she got a little bit of a scrape while trying to get out. I had to stick my hand in and help pull her out. Poor baby...but she learned not to go in there.

does anyone have ne funny fish stories i would love to hear them......

I've never had that happen with fish, but I have had it happen with crickets and gerbils

Interesting thought just occured to me. Has anyone ever had this happen twice with the same fish? I'm trying to prove fish have memories btw.

I know some people with Kuhli loaches that have had it happen a few times. They have proven that fish have a memory, to a point. Think about it, after awhile the fish know that when you lift up the lid on the tank they might get fed so they all swim to the top.

Yesterday I thawed some tubifix worms in a plastic tea strainer. I put some in my tank & the rest in my sons tank. I gave the strainer a good swish through the water to dislodge the last few & hit a mollie on the head. Luckily she seems to be ok.
A few weeks ago when using the gravel vac I managed to suck up a kuhli loach, he went through the impeller without coming to any harm. Dont know who had the biggest shock, him or me. :S

:fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

Just a cute little story: As I was feeding the leftover bloodworms to my baby guppies, my littlest fry that's about a month old grabbed a hold of one. One of my bigger fry that's about 3 months old decided that he also wanted that bloodworm. So the bigger fry grabbed the other end of the worm, and took my littlest fry for quite the ride before they devoured the worm. It was really cute and funny, wish I had my video cam for that one!

I can't remember which member of the site it was, but she took an ornament out of the tank to clean it, just about to clean the ornament and a clown loach fell in the sink, she panicked then returned him back to the tank, it was funny how she said it though.

very true

also my goldies will not eat unless i am the one feeding them,

they did not eat one weekend when i went away cause my dad was feeding them so the next time he feed them with me everyday for a week so they would get to know him lol

we had a scare 2 nights ago... 7 clown loaches in a 2"x6" hollow in a bogwood branch - it wasnt funny though.

got them all out in the end and have now blocked the hole :sly:

mmmm nice and cosy !

well no funny fish stories, but my cat (when it was a kitten) stuck his head down a yogurt pot to lick it out - but a tad too far and walked around like a blind imbecile (until I rescued him)

When I first started out I had a 10 gallon aquarium with two small goldfish, very small goldfish, and I had a problem getting the loach enough food (at least I thought he wasnt gettin enough), anyways, I had a thought one day that if I put a small glass container in the tank and inserted a little food in it that the goldfish wouldnt be able to get at it 'cause they were too big.
Didnt work.
Soon after trying it and sitting back thinking of how I was sOooOoOooo smart I watched the smallest of the two wiggle his way "into" the wee little hole and gobble up all the food, then slowly wriggle his way backwards out of the glass container.

I took it out and used a different means of feeding the loaches that worked quite well.
