I purchased 3 zebra loach last month. After a few hours in the tank they settled in and i was about to leave the house for the night and remembered i hadnt fed the fish. When i returned to the tank i found one of the loachs flapping around on my kitchen counter. he had jumped right out and flapped his way across towards the oven. I put him back in the tank and he was fine. I left the house and came back the next morning (heavy night). This same fish had jumped out again, but instead of landing on the counter and probably dying he landed in a bowl of water which was on the kitchen counter. He was swimming around in the bowl without a bother on him. I have filled in the gaps in the back of my lid to stop this happening again. Just thought id share that one with ya!!!!
