Funny shop

about a year ago, i went to this fish shop, i wanted 5 neons, and he was like, you need a heater, he said "you have no heater, they die next day" so he refused to sell them to me cause he said i would be coming back with dead fish. i stopped shopping there for about a year. i went back, funny thing is, they have painted glass fish, parrots, and gouramis. they also have a clown fish, blue and yellow tang in a 10 gallon. they also have 2 sharks in a 30 gallon tank just a while ago, i thought they cared about their fish

I can tell you this much every petstore not fish store ive been to knows nothing and doesnt give a da*n about their fish. I prefer going to the mom and pop fish stores, they always treat their fish right and I have yet to find anything wrong with them besides some of the prices .

ive never used a heater except for my bettas and my larger tanks because its harder to keep them at a certain temp, but my 10's and 20's they stay just right. I dont understand why you would need a heater unless you dont have a heater for your house and it stays really cold....

You don't spend 24/7 in your house though... Anyway, it's a shame about petstores/fish stores being so irresponsible but it often depends on the manager or employees at the time.

the guy that told me was the owner, and this is a family owned shop. oh yeah, only the bottom level is a fish shop, the top level is dogs, cats, rodents, and birds. i guess they have a big family.
