Funny Fish

We just introduced our newest fish to the tank, two corys and a male dwarf gourami. I watched them carefully, because we have 8 tiger barbs in there, I didn't want the barbs being mean to the corys...or the gourami being mean to anyone...

I kept careful watch, turns out the corys chased the barbs. I was NOT expecting that

I've found cories to be very peaceful and never chase the other fish. All my cories ever care about is getting food!

That is strange behavior for cories. It's very unlikely that it'll last long because cories and barbs frequent totally different regions of the tank. Barbs will hang out at the bottom sometimes, but I have observed that they prefer the middle.

Don't worry about your gourami bothering anyone - just watch out that he doesn't get pestered by the barbs. Gouramis are perfect targets for barbs to terrorize.

i've seen my baby cories zip around the tank, up down left right, if my poor betta (who's at least twice the size of them) gets in the way, he gets headbutted!
