Hi Guys,
I have just successfully rid my tank of white spot/ich, So I am really happy and pleased that I lost no fish to it. But then I am looking at my fish and one of them has fungus  . Im devestated because I have never had any success treating fungus (all of my guppies died from it a few months back) :-( I don't know what meds to get, what would you reccomend?

Thanks for any answers :)

you can try aquarium salt and increasing the temp to 86 degrees F. (30 degrees Celcius), and adding an air stone. that's always my first line of defense.

the meds that i use, if the salt and heat don't work and if pimafix or melafix don't work, are Furan-2 and Myracin-2. read the packages to see which one is more appropriate for your situation.

Maracyn is illegal in the UK; all antibiotics are without a prescription.

I would try Myxazin, which works pretty well for most things.

I used pimafix on my fish when they got true fungus. Of course this was after all but 1 had already died and I noticed she actually had fungus and I think the others did too. But it worked great for her!

That's the proper action for ich, but not for fungus, which is usually a bacterial infection, not a true fungus. The only way to treat it is with an antibiotic, which will usually harm your filter media as well.

If you raise the temp in your tank you'll be exacerbating the problem, not helping it.
